Hours:

Full-time, 31-40 hours per week

Pay:

Apprenticeship rate entitlement for first year of the apprenticeship, National Minimum Wage rate entitlement thereafter. Find out more about rates of pay here.

Daily Duties:

Duties will include learning the skills and methods needed to complete your electrical apprenticeship. You will have involvement with servicing and installation to eventual inspection and testing within the commercial, domestic and industrial sectors. You will have a responsibility to adhere to and uphold health and safety obligations at all times, being aware of potential risks and acting in a sensible manner. Whilst in full-time employment you will undertake the following qualifications:

  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance and Installation
  • Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Technology
  • Essential Communication Skills
  • Essential Application of Number Skills
  • Essential Digital Literacy Skills

  • Ability to drive desirable
  • Applicants 18+ will be prioritised as per the employer’s wishes
  • Must be able to travel to the XR Training Centre in Pyle once a month for mandatory off-the-job training

Interview Arrangements:

The job is based in Merthyr Tydfil, but pick-up is from Aberdare. Please ensure you can travel to Aberdare each morning.
