Electrical Assessor

Contract Type: Permanent, full-time

Hours: 37.5 per week, typical working hours are Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00

General description: 

Are you fully qualified in electrical installation? Do you have verifiable relevant industry experience with current knowledge of industry working practices and techniques relevant in an electrical engineering environment? 

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Training Support Officer to support our electrical delivery staff at our Pyle Centre.

Your roles and responsibilities will include supporting the Electrical Tutor in their delivery by taking on administrative duties and assessment practices, primarily the reviewing of all electrical apprentices on a regular basis at their places of work and onsite. In addition, you will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relations with our employers and external stakeholders.

Personal specification:

  • Candidates must have relevant experience working within industry and/or in apprenticeship provision
  • Ideally have been involved in Government training schemes in the past
  • Ideally hold an Assessors Qualification e.g. D32/D33, A1 or TAQA
  • Ideally have 18th Edition (7671:2018) qualification
  • Must be IT literate to include Microsoft Office packages
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a high-performance environment

BIT/Lean Assessor

Contract Type: Permanent, full-time

Hours: 37.5 per week, typical working hours are Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00

We have an exciting opportunity for a BIT assessor to join our apprenticeship delivery team, covering the South Wales area. If you are qualified assessor, we would like to hear from you! This is a fantastic opportunity to pass on your skills and inspire the next generation. Working in a vibrant and positive learning environment, you will be responsible for assessing business improvement techniques up to level 3. We are keen to hear from candidates that use innovative techniques to motivate and inspire learners.

What are the core responsibilities of this role?

• Delivering apprenticeship qualifications to employed learners in their workplaces
• Providing a quality learning experience and journey
• Supporting learners to successfully achieve their qualifications in a timely fashion
• Contributing to the planning, monitoring and achievement of agreed performance targets

What skills and experience are we looking for?

• Experience of working within Work-Based Learning and to awarding body standards
• Relevant assessing qualification (level 3 Assessing Certificate, TAQA or A1)
• Hold a minimum level three qualification in a specialist area
• Experience assessing BIT up to level three
• Strong organisational and planning skills and extensive knowledge of the subject area
• Plenty of enthusiasm and the ability to motivate learners
• Willingness to provide outstanding support for learners
• Be flexible and self-motivated with a dedication to learner achievement and quality

Sales Executive

Contract Type: Permanent, full-time

General description: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales executive to join our Business Development team and aid in the recruitment of apprentices at our centre in Pyle.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum twelve months of telesales experience, preferably in the apprenticeship training / work-based learning sector. The ability to meet high call volumes and to explain Welsh Government funded training schemes is essential, however training and guidance can be given if required.

Work-Based Learning Administrator

XR Training has a fantastic new opportunity for a work-based learning Administrator to join the administration team at our centre in Pyle. 

XR currently provides training within the engineering sector across the whole of South Wales both onsite at our Pyle centre and offsite at established manufacturing companies.

Key responsibilities to include organising and coordinating learner activities, inclusive of registration and certification with the relevant awarding bodies. Compliance and quality checks, reviews and learner journey audits whilst maintaining accurate updating of databases, inclusive of systems such as Maytas, Smart Assessor and internal systems. Overseeing of targets and deadlines, whilst supporting management and colleagues. Liaising with both management and external bodies in order to promote the XR business and meet organisational standards. Effective utilisation of company standards in order to aid achievement. Engagement in self-assessment procedures, to meet external audit requirements and internal verification.

Business Development Manager

Contract Type: Permanent, full-time

General description: 

XR Training has a fantastic new opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our centre in Pyle. 

To manage the Business Development of XR to ensure the promotion, selling and raising awareness of all XR Training’s products and services to existing and new customers across South Wales.

Key responsibilities to include:

  • Building positive relationships with stakeholders and conducting sales visits to achieve growth and income targets allocated by SMT and Directors.
  • Maintaining robust sales tracking sheets to ensure ongoing learner recruitment targets are achieved.
  • To ensure that all employer and learner recruitment processes are adhered to.
  • Attend relevant and agreed conferences and events to postively promote XR’s services and brand to secure new business and raise profile.
  • Ensure effective communication by passing on all revlevant information to Business Development Administration in a timely manner.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, e.g. reading trade publications/attending network events.
  • To meet administrative duties such as keeping calendar up-to-date, producing monthly reports, etc.
  • Fully engage with, embrace and adhere to XR’s policies, procedures, strategies and core values.
  • Working with the team to ensure continuous quality improvements supporting the company’s journey to excellence.

Health and safety responsibilities:

  • To ensure XR as H&S compliant to the WBL Funded Provision Code of Practice.
  • Ensure all appraisals are completed with learner enrolment in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all re-appraisals are completed in a timely manner as directed by Quality & Operations Manager.

Support/Administration duties:

  • To ensure all enrolment paperwork and the WEST initial assessment process is completed with learners to an excellent standard, as and when required.
  • To submit all enrolment paperwork to Business Development Administration in a timely manner and in line with freeze dates.
